QOS / iBANK ORG.UK — CONCEPT ARCHITECTURE

Every module, one quantum core.

70 ERP modules and 16 Core Banking modules routed through a single quantum substrate. No point-to-point integrations, no legacy middleware — every system entangles directly with QOS.

How a module reaches the quantum core

Five layers sit between any ERP or Core Banking module and QOS. Each module keeps its own data model — only the transport and trust layer change.

01
Module Adapter Layer
Each of the 86 modules speaks its native protocol — REST, SOAP, ISO 20022, internal RPC. A thin adapter normalizes this into a single QOS message envelope without touching the module's internal logic.
02
Quantum Key Distribution Gateway
Every envelope is sealed using keys generated and distributed via QKD, so the encryption is secured by the laws of physics rather than computational hardness alone.
03
Entanglement Routing Mesh
Instead of fixed network paths, messages route over entangled qubit pairs pre-distributed across the mesh — removing the "hop count" concept from inter-module latency entirely.
04
QOS Core — Orchestration & Settlement
The core validates, sequences, and where relevant settles each transaction, holding one consistent ledger state across all 86 connected modules in real time.
05
Observability & Compliance Plane
Every channel event is logged for audit, AML, and regulatory reporting — visible to compliance teams without being able to alter settled records.

What "quantum-connected" means here
QKD
Key distribution, not key storage
Quantum Key Distribution generates session keys via entangled photon pairs. Any interception attempt disturbs the quantum state and is detectable — so the channel itself reveals tampering.
PQC
Post-quantum cryptography at rest
Data at rest across all 86 modules is migrated to lattice-based PQC algorithms, so stored records remain protected even against a future quantum adversary.
QPU
Optimization, not transaction processing
Quantum processors are positioned for combinatorial problems — liquidity routing, settlement netting, fraud-pattern search — while transaction throughput stays on classical infrastructure today.
HYBRID
Classical core, quantum edge
QOS itself runs on classical infrastructure now, with quantum components attached at the edges — the architecture this page describes is forward-compatible as quantum hardware matures.
